In February 1985 BR moved several batches of Army vehicles to and from Carver Barracks (on the site of RAF Debeden) near Newport, Essex. They were potentially loaded at B.Stortford. Thanks to everyone who has responded with info so far.

Ok I know this is Liverpool St but thought it was worthy to be put here. 86217 'Halley's Comet' with the 'Cambridge Goes Electric' headboard.

A really lost loco. 26025 worked from Tinsley via a Whitemoor speedlink and arrived at Cambridge on 17-10-87 en route to Ripple Lane Open Day. However owing to bad weather, it remained at Cambridge until the 26-10-87 when it worked back to Derby.
