16th May 1986. Closing the gates at West River for 47572. The crossing became AHBs about 3 weeks after.

16th May 1986 saw 47572 named 'Ely Cathedral' at Ely station and it was subsequently nabbed approaching West River level crossing in her smart new livery.

8th December 1987 and 31419 makes its way towards Ely Dock Junction.

On the same day a cravens unit heads for Cambridge at West River.

9th April 1992. Resignalling is a day away as a DMU makes its way onto the Kings Lynn line.

10-02-88. Ely Dock Junction signalbox soaks up the sunrise.

10-02-88. An amazing sky frames Ely Dock Junction whilst a DMU and parcel unit are held in the down loop.

11-03-88. Away from Ely and past the Dock. A 156 can just be seen approaching from Soham.

11-03-88. The sunrises at Ely are a joy to be awake for. A DMU enters the down platform before crossing over so it can be worked back to Cambridge.

8th December 1987 was rather cold. We decided to do some winter photography and opted for Ely Dock Junction. The first for the day, 31419 makes its way from Soham towards the Dock.

On 08-02-92, 156403 hit a lorry at Dimmocks Cote level crossing. I was in Ely Dock Jn signalbox at the time and knew something was wrong when both up and down track circuits lit up! Unit dumped in Ely Yard. 13-02-92.
